Job Description

Overall Responsibilities

Oversee the company’s manufacturing operations and production planning. Establish improvement methods for production processes, machinery, materials, and factory layout. The Factory Director is responsible for production planning, organizing and monitoring factory operations to ensure production schedules, product quality, and labor productivity are achieved effectively.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Production Management

1.1. Develop and review the annual business and production plans of the factory.
1.2. Plan and adjust production schedules to meet the productivity requirements of each order.
1.3. Approve sewing line layouts and production line plans by product code.
1.4. Participate in developing the Group’s overall strategy (NWF).

2. Production Preparation

2.1. Approve suppliers and purchase orders for cartons, bags, threads, and related materials.
2.2. Review and approve sewing processes for each product code.
2.3. Approve standard time norms and sewing line balancing charts.
2.4. Monitor and control the progress of raw material (NPL) readiness to ensure synchronization before production.

3. Production Control

3.1. Decide on corrective actions for issues related to:

Fabric or accessory defects

Machinery breakdowns

Product defects detected after packaging
3.2. Approve shipment documents for customers.
3.3. Approve production schedule adjustments when progress does not meet the original plan.

4. Post-Production Management

4.1. Approve plans for claims or compensation from relevant parties for production-related losses.
4.2. Approve delivery documentation.
4.3. Organize or coordinate with HPO for customer deliveries.
4.4. Monitor and report raw material inventory levels.
4.5. Decide on handling plans for surplus fabric, leftover materials, defective products, and scrap.
4.6. Approve liquidation reports.
4.7. Approve summary reports of revenue and profit/loss per order.

5. Production Support Operations

5.1. Human Resources Management
5.1.1. Propose and develop organizational structures and functional responsibilities within the factory.
5.1.2. Assign tasks, supervise and evaluate performance of staff and managers; ensure quality and progress of assigned work.
5.1.3. Approve recruitment plans, appointments, and dismissals of employees.
5.1.4. Approve training and development programs for factory staff.
5.1.5. Establish and implement policies on salary, rewards/discipline, and team culture.

5.2. Administration & Procurement Management
5.2.1. Develop and approve internal policies, procedures, standards, and regulations related to factory operations.
5.2.2. Manage factory assets, documentation, and archives.
5.2.3. Oversee administrative work of management-level positions.
5.2.4. Approve plans, requests, and contracts for the procurement of materials, equipment, office supplies, and machine components; manage factory assets.

5.3. Compliance, Occupational Safety, and Fire Prevention
5.3.1. Develop and ensure compliance with factory regulations.
5.3.2. Maintain and monitor quality management systems (ISO standards).
5.3.3. Approve fire prevention and safety (FPP) plans; establish and enforce workplace safety policies and guidelines.

5.4. Financial & Accounting Management
5.4.1. Approve factory expenses and administrative transactions.
5.4.2. Approve financial statements, management reports, and tax reports.
5.4.3. Responsible for payroll, bonuses, and tax settlements for all factory employees.

6. Other Duties

6.1. Prepare and submit periodic and ad-hoc reports as required.
6.2. Provide recommendations and advisory input to senior management.
6.3. Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.
6.4. Comply with factory regulations and all relevant legal requirements.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements
1. Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.

2. Work Experience

At least 10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.

Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar managerial position.

Proven experience in factory management within the garment and fashion industry.

Preference given to candidates with experience working in companies with over 500 employees.

3. Professional Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of the garment and fashion industry.

Good knowledge of business and commercial law fundamentals.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and related productivity software.

Ability to read and understand basic English documents; capable of basic English communication.

Excellent organizational and supervisory skills.

Proven ability to train, develop, and lead teams effectively.

Honest, enthusiastic, creative, and proactive in performing duties.
