Job Description
* Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's IT strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives.
- Lead the IT department in planning, implementing, and managing technology solutions to improve business processes and enhance customer experience.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
2. IT Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of IT services.
- Manage the IT budget, including cost control and forecasting, to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and reliability of the company's IT infrastructure, systems, and data.
3. Project Management:
- Lead major IT projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and new implementations, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and develop solutions to support business goals.
4. Team Leadership:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the company's IT needs.
- Promote a collaborative environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing within the team.
5. Risk Management and Compliance:
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Identify and mitigate IT risks, ensuring the company's data and systems are protected from security threats.
- Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and regularly tested.
6. Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a key liaison between the IT department and other business units, ensuring alignment and understanding of IT initiatives.
- Communicate IT performance and strategy to the executive team and board of directors, providing regular updates and insights.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry (must)
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful IT strategies and leading large-scale IT projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and processes, including cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
